European Parliament

In the European Parliament I am member of the European liberal group Renew Europe, where I represent Czech delegation.

My parliamentary activities are mainly focused on the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee (ECON), where I strive to promote the interests of small and medium-sized enterprises and relevant European policies to support and protect them. I strongly advocate for a creation of a legal framework that guarantees equal opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises in the European single market.

Another important area I am involved in are digital financial services. I was a rapporteur for the report on digital finance, working to reduce the administrative burden on businesses and to improve their access to finance. I also chair the working group on SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises) finance. Last but not least, I worked on the proposal for a regulation establishing the InvestEU financial instrument.

I am also on the Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN). In addition to the modernisation of the European transport network or the development of rail transport, my work focuses mainly on tourism and its recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.

FOLLOW THE ACTIVITIES OF THE TRAN COMMITTE

In the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE), I deal with issues such as migration, border protection, human rights, police and security cooperation, but also protection of privacy or new technologies such as artificial intelligence.
